ERIN (Mom)-

I was given my first puppy for Christmas when I was 6 years old and from then on I had a best friend and learned the powerful bond that exists between humans and dogs.

I have had 8 faithful dogs throughout my life and each time one passes on it is a loss of a family member.

Seeing my sons now enjoying their friendship with our own dogs has been a highlight of parenthood! Our ten year old has learned how to "speak dog" and has been found in the doghouse cuddling up with our dogs on many occasions. They are buddies!

MY EXPERIENCE- includes investing over 25 years as a dog owner, participation in puppy behavior training classes and continuing that training throughout our dog's life, participation in dog adoption placement, practicing basic elements of dog grooming, addressing dog medical issues, administering medication and have participated in assisting our aged dogs in the process of passing on from this life. I understand how to "speak dog" and recognize when dogs are displaying positive and negative emotions including avoiding situations of threat or aggression. You can trust that I will provide the best care and meet the specific needs of your dogs when they are in my care. I am excited to get to love your dogs as my own when they are in our care. It will be a treat!

CHRIS (Dad)-

I've always had a dog in my life growing up.  Since my mother is a "cat woman" we never had our own but my friends did.

I got my first dog when I began college.  Guinness (rescued from a shelter) was a Flat Coated Retriever and she was the best!  She went everywhere with me.  It was Guinness that helped me truly understand the meaning of fur baby.  She was a family member.  She lived a very long life and died of natural causes.  Next, came Rojo!  He was a huge red retriever/rott mix.  A true gentleman and an incredible friend.  Like all dogs, he wanted to go everywhere with me and he did.  He also lived a very long happy and healthy life.  Before he passed we welcomed Otis (male rott) to our family.  Rojo did an incredible job teaching Otis how to be a respectful and loyal pack member.  Olive was my third dog and joined my family while Rojo was still alive.  Olive was the mom of the pack.  They were a great pack to have.

MY EXPERIENCE-  I've been a pet owner all of my life.  I understand their needs and wants and health issues.  I've attended a few puppy training classes, obedience classes, and I've even had the pleasure of working one-on-one with The Dog Whisperer, Cesar Milan.  He came to help my adopted dog Olive get over her fear of riding in the car.  The episoded was named "Drool Dog" (see link below).

I love all dogs and feel that I speak their language and can easily read their cues.  I will care for you dog as if it was my own.
